Angel Island
Somewhere tropical and warm.
The same day towards afternoon
Hermione let the parchment drop and then heard a clink and bent down to find a signet ring lay there that she had not noticed before.
Shakily she held it between her thumb and forefinger and set it down on the makeshift table to look at it closer. As she did Draco rubbed her back a moment in circles trying to help her stay calm.
"You're the true heir of Slytherin."
Draco said this in awe himself as he drew Hermione in his arms and held her. Hermione was silent, she was very still as she let herself be embraced and she let out a hysterical giggle a moment.
"Me? Slytherin's daughter and more so Morgana Le Faye, the Queen of the Veela? This can't be real it's.. It's insane is what this is. I mean someone has to be having us on right? I know what this says and I see that crest but how is it possible??"
Hermione was really stumped as she for a moment shook her head. It wasn't possible was it? She knew her legs felt heavy in that moment and she leaned a little more against Draco.
Draco caught her as she for a moment tripped and he carried her to their bed layed her down and took her hand sitting next to her and rubbed his thumb over her knuckles. Hermione groaned as she opened her eyes and for a moment she squinted before looking over at Draco.
"I had the most weirdest dream Draco. It was a dream wasn't it?"
Hermione asked as she sat up slowly and looked at him with some fear but also sadness in her eyes.
Draco wrapped her in his arms and kissed her forehead and placed a hand over her heart a moment.
I won't lie to you, it's a bit of a shock but Hermione I always knew you were special but this. I don't understand how it is you are here as if this is true, both your parents died around a thousand years ago?"
Draco was slightly confused as well as he just tried to relax and think. His beautiful wife, the mother of his unborn child was the direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin. It was a lot to get one's head around.
"Draco, I'm scared. I mean this makes no sense whatsoever! Time travel other than with a Timeturner is not possible is it? I mean look at it, the ring it's real.. I mean I've seen one that was similar with the Slytherin crest before. It can't be real I mean I'm just Hermione Granger, a muggle born witch raised by people who hate her. I am a know it all and I have frizzy hair and I don't understand this!"
Hermione found herself sobbing now and allowing Draco to comfort her.Draco tried to soothe her as they just lay down a bit and he rubbed her back and neck and shoulders and he whispered sweet endearments in her ear.
Shadow walked in and lay at Hermione's side and rested his head on her belly and looked up at her in concern. For a moment Hermione relaxed as she scratched and rubbed behind Shadow's ears and petted his head slowly and gently.
"You're beautiful and kind and smart and sexy as hell Hermione Jean Malfoy as well as mine. I love you and I don't care where you come from sweetheart. Your hair gets frizzy a bit but it's so soft and you know things because you study them to death. Brainy is sexy and your a Goddess! My Goddess.. Let's relax or try to and we can figure this out together. It's not good for you to be this upset my Angel".
"You have to admit though it's rather mad! I mean my Mother was the Veela Queen and my Father was a founder of Hogwarts.. My... Holy shit! That would mean Voldemort was my nephew or cousin? I mean far down in the blood lines but still. This is very much to take in.."
"It is a lot but you have me and our baby and Shadow, you're not alone and yeah kinda is fucked up isn't it that your blood ran through his too a bit but you are a good person sweetheart. You have a strong magical bloodline is all. I mean even if we never found out, your amazing.
Your my wife and I love you and we can burn that parchment if you want, bury that ring too and just live the rest of our lives here if you wish.
Draco knew that if they ever did go back, he shuttered inwardly at the reception his father would give them but not in fear as before but in annoyance. Draco really didn't care what Lucius thought of anything he did but this, if his Father knew..
"How about we rest and sleep on it a bit. I know there is no where else I want to be now but here with you and Shadow and our children for now at least. Truthfully I don't want to burn it or bury the ring but put them away as we may need those someday."
Hermione said this, trying to think logically and reason. Now the initial shock has worn off she got up and walked back to the kitchen and picked up the ring and parchment and examined them closer.
The parchment was old and there was the fact Draco could not read the runes at all. She looked at Draco returning to their bedroom and she bent down and opened her trunk. She carefully placed them in a small bag. Once secured she closed the trunk and came back laying in Draco's arms.
"Okay, I love you my Angel and it makes sense. Let's rest and regardless we can start our trip tomorrow if you still want to explore? We can talk about it over dinner later but for now let's take a nap. "
"Okay love you too my Dragon,my Shadow also."
Soon they both succumbed to sleep. They were so deep in slumber that they did not hear a whirling sound, nor felt it when Shadow got up and went to the doorway. A large blue police box shimmied into appearance and out stepped a man.
Shadow looked up and walked over to the man and licked his hand. The man in question, the Doctor smiled and petted the Wolf gently.
"Good boy Shadow you are called right? Be quiet we don't want to wake them."
The Doctor said this as he placed another note on the table and two seemingly ordinary sticks and he grabbed a banana off the tree as he went outside before getting back in the T.A.R.D.I.S.. He knew soon they would come knocking and he would explain things.
Inside the T.A.R.D.I.S. he would wait and whatever they decided he would abide by. He chuckled as he picked up a book and shook his head at the inaccuracies he found there. History books were like comedy to the Doctor as they always got it wrong.
