How to make graphics and images for video projects.
Hello and greetings and salutations today I am going to show you how to resize your photos for video making. Atleast the way I do it. For this I will be using the following programs in order to show you how I do so. These programs are what I use but there are others out there too so if you want to try some other program or are comfortable with them feel free to do so.
*Photobucket.
*Windows Live Movie Player
*Internet search engine like google,Bing etc.
*Microsoft windows paint program or the equivelant if you are running a different computer software.
Alright say for example I want to make a video and I decide I want the picture to go across the whole screen and not show the edges.( If you watch my videos you may notice I always try to do so as I like the way the picture looks better to me atleast) Doing so is simple if you use a few tips.
I like in Windows Live Movie maker that there is an option to make the picture screen or whatever it is actually called two different sizes. One is a square for all purposes and the other a rectangle. (As I write this I am saving a video so I cant give you the exact number or show you what I mean precisely but I will once my Computer is done saving and then I can show you in pictures.)
I decide which to use and genreally for me I like the wide one so I use that one often. Alright so I decide on a picture I want to use lets say I would like to use.. This picture..
(I have scaled this picture down a bit so it fits here nicely.)
Alright well I went on Bing earlier and decided I wanted to use a picture of Amy Lee from Evanessence as I like to use her for things especially representing myself on video etc, Anywyas I got it off of bing and went to my Photobucket account and uploaded it.
After that I went and I hit the edit button near the top left hand side of the Photobucket page and I went to use crop and used the size 16:9 to make it the size I needed. After that it is save the photo and voila! save to my computer and put it in the file I want it to go into and then later use it.
It's not hard to do but it does take time as sometimes Photobucket slows down and on my end atleast it sometimes stalls as it is saving and I have to do the same image atleast twice or thrice before I get it saved.
Anyways yup that's one way to resize. Another is to take an image and copy it by hitting the right mouse key and pasting it into paint and there you can resize it etc.. Or unless you have paintshop deluxe or photoshop those can also work for you. Pixlr is nice for when you want to make images ,combine and manipulate images online for free and without downloading anything.
All in all happy Graphic making and or video making
