Narcissa is sitting a moment with her husband in the conservatory of their home. Both are silent as they take tea and Narcissa breaks the silence letting out a sigh. Lucius looks up at her from the Daily prophet and asks her.
"Narcissa,why are you sighing like that?What is wrong?"
As Lucius asks this he puts down the paper and takes a sip of the tea cup. He makes a face at the cold tea and snaps his fingers to summon a house elf to him.
"I was just thinking about our son Lucius. I hope he is well and it is strange don't you think that he did not write or owl us? I was certain for the most part he would have me atleast. Something seems a bit funny do you not agree?"
As she asked this she wondered why she was feeling so uneasy. She knew they had been assured their son was in no danger but still she worried for him. As of late Draco had taken to spending less time at the Manor and had even taken his own flat in Muggle London. Though she did not tell Lucius it was in the heart of Muggle London for fear of his temper. As it was her baby boy had grown up and she felt more and more distant to him as of late. "If he is on a mission and assignment for the school perhaps he has no time to write Narcissa! I have all faith he is well and so should you. When he returns he will tell us of his assignment and then you will feel silly for having worried over nothing."
As Lucius said this he too wondered but he would not show his discomfort or worry.He knew his son well enough to know that no matter what he was doing he was not soiling himself with the Mudblood Granger. However he paused in mid thought as he corrected himself metally.
Hermione Granger was not a Mudblood at all. In fact if those barbaric Muggles were correct then she was a pureblood. For a moment the thought that if it was the case, she would be a proper and perhaps advantage of a match for Draco. He knew that Granger had been a war heroine and therefore a marriage of his son to her would do wonders to reestablish the name of Malfoy.
He mentally noted he would go to the Ministry and find out just exactly who her parentage really was and then proceed from there. He was however still in doubt the Muggles knew what they were saying but he also knew he had been livid at the time as they had called his son a freak and their kind in whole as well.
Lucius decided to excuse the elf as he got up and he went to the Floo and was about to throw the powder in when he hesitated and looked over at his wife a moment. It was true they were married and in name only after she concieved his heir but for a moment he wondered just how much he should tell her. She did have the right he suppose to know what he would find on the Granger girl."I am going to the Ministry,i will be back later. "
This was all Lucius said as he threw the floo powder into the flames and he disapeared in a moment.
Narcissa sat finishing her tea and then placed down the cup gently of the antique bone chine and for a moment just closed her eyes and relaxed.She let out a sigh and rubbed her temples a moment. It was frustrating to her. She knew what she needed was word of any kind and for a moment she thought of the Granger girl and wondered who her parents were.
She knew that she was not as welcomed in the Pureblood ladies circles as she had once been,However she had always suspected deep down that her son liked the girl.She remembered the day at the Manor and how he had reacted after she had been tortured. This girl no woman was the bravest person and loyal beyond anyone she had ever saw. IF it was possible then she would make her son the perfect match as she also knew from Draco's constant complaints and Lucius's that she was indeed very intellegent.
For awhile it sat on her mind that indeed she may end up with the young woman as her daughter in law. She had on occasion even seen her and wondered at her sons reactions in regards to this woman.She had even went as far as to imagine her son happy with that woman.But she had let the thoughts go as she was certain there was no force on Earth other than a mutual love that would bring them together. Her son may or may not love the woman but she knew that love didn't always come to them. The Malfoy or the Black famalies. She knew her own union had not been a love match. however if her own son had the chance..
She hoped that her son would find love and perhaps if this Granger girl, no Hermione was the one.. Perhaps.."I am going out and if master returns before I come home.Tell him Tippy I am at the hair dressers."
As Narcissa said this she gathered up some floo powder and threw it into the fireplace. She for a moment wondered if it was the right thing to do what she was about to. She nodded to herself and shouted out as she did."The Headmistresses office,Hogwarts."

Draco was the first to stir as he smiled quietly to himself as he opened his storm gray eyes and looked down at the woman in his arms. He kissed her ear gently and decided he wanted to do something nice for her. He arose and for a moment just sat on his side of the bed and raised his arms to stretch them. He ran a hand over his hair in a vain attempt to keep it from flopping back into his eyes and groaned quietly when indeed it did flop back as if mocking him.
He didn't even bother dressing fully as he was still in his jean shorts and made his way barefoot to the washroom and splashed some of the water from the basin they gathered for grooming into his face. He looked a moment at himself in the mirror glass and took in the stubble that was growing on his face. He never felt more less well groomed as he looked at himself. He normally was clean shaven but he was starting to grow in a mustache and for a moment he looked at his reflection and turned his head this way and that way and decided that he would try one of the Muggle razors that Hermione had shown him and set aside for him to use.
At first he was doing fine as it seemed the razor glided smoothly after he applied what she told him was a shaving lotion and he shorn all the hair except for the mustache. He decided to leave that for the moment and thought about the first time he had tried to use the Muggle razor and had cut himself.After that Hermione had shown him properly as she could when she shaved her legs and he had decided it had been time to try it again.He smiled as he was proud now to have mastered the shaving razor and washed his face and hands in the basin.
He found Shadow was sitting on the kitchen floor under their rickety makeshift table and as he entered the kitchen he looked around for a cup of cool water to drink.He noticed something on the table.a parchment he did not remember laying there and for a moment he picked it up to look at it. He turned it one way and another and then frowned as it seemed to him there were words but they were not in English.
"Draco baby what are you doing?"
Hermione asked as she came over to join him and wrapped her arms around his waist a moment from behind and lay her head on the middle of his back. 
"I found this just now on the table and I can't read it.It's all jumbled and in some weird language. I was wondering if you had left it there maybe or that it had come out of one of our school texts?"
As he asked this he had turned and handed her the parchment and kissed the top of her head gently."Oh! No I didn't leave this here! What is.. I have no idea what language this is but it seems very close to something I have seen in one of my arithmancy books.Do you think maybe it's a message from the person or persons who lived here?"
As she asked this for a moment she felt foolish as that person had either died or escaped by her sumation but then she looked at him with huge eyes as she remembered he said it was on the table. "I didn't put this here no.Also I see you shaved.It feels nice and I'm glad you didn't shave off the mustache.I'm starting to grow to like it as it tickles when you kiss me."
She admitted as he then smiled and kissed her and she dropped the parchment. Shadow yawned under the table and lifted the scroll and put it back up on the table when something fell out of it onto the table.
Hermione picked up what looked like a stone but was on further examination she realized it was not a stone but a rune and she smiled to herself as she compared it to the writing and found the rune in several places.It's in runes. Draco can you please hand me that book over there maybe i can decipher it.Who knows maybe we can get home by this."
As she said this she was looking at the parchment and did not see his frown. He however went and got her the book she asked for and he kissed her forehead as she sat down and opened the book and was comparing it to the message. "If it's in runes then perhaps we were wrong and it wasn't a muggle who make this place but a witch or wizard right Hermione? Look even if it's not the way home i don't want you to be disapointed okay. I'm going to go and get some more firewood and some fruit as it seems we are a bit low."
As Draco said this he went to the door and looked back at her and smiled despite the fear that indeed it would be their way home and their seperation because he knew his parents would never allow them to marry eachother. Hermione looked up as Draco turned to leave and frowned. She was sure that perhaps it would help them somehow.She looked down at the wolf cub and wished he could speak as she knew that it had gotten there somehow and she knew the cub must know something she didn't.
Draco light a cigarette and he sighed and shook his head. He loved her. He would not let her go and the sooner they talked about it the better. He knew he feared his Father killing her and he knew he would have to tell her his fears. If it was indeed the way home he would break his own and her heart so she would live on. He loved her too damn much to put her into that kind of danger.
